The ASL55 LED-Ex luminaire is an Ex-rated, stainless-steel sight glass luminaire engineered for hazardous areas (gas Zones 1/2 & dust Zones 21/22). It delivers glare-free, cold LED illumination with long service life and minimal heat load — ideal for bioreactors, flow indicators, and sight ports where safety and visual clarity matter.

Important: Under no circumstances should the luminaire be used as a substitute for a sight glass flange or counter-flange. Always follow site safety rules and consult the ESL55 product datasheet before installation.

Installation & electrical options


The ASL55LED-Ex is supplied with factory-fitted cables (typ. 2 m; 10 m on request) or can be supplied with suitable screwed cable glands per EN 60079-14. Mount via the supplied hinged bracket to the sight glass cover flange, or use the slotted nut adapter for screw-type fittings; mounting kits are available as accessories.
