LUMIGLAS® synthetic quartz capillary tube is produced from 6N-grade fused silica with all metallic impurities controlled below 20 ppb (total), verified by ICP-MS analysis. OH hydroxyl content is below 1 ppm. The high UV transmittance and low UV absorption of synthetic fused silica make this capillary the standard substrate for optical fiber preform inner bore tubes, specialty fiber capillary components, photonic crystal fiber and precision UV-grade analytical components. LUMIGLAS® YT-2120 is an optical fiber-grade synthetic quartz tube produced from 6N fused silica (SiO₂ ≥99.9999%) with OH hydroxyl content <1 ppm and all metallic impurities controlled below 0.005 ppm (wt). Refractive index (Δn) is customisable for specialty fiber preform design. Available in three sub-grades — liner tube, small sleeve and large sleeve — covering OD φ10–90 mm with lengths up to 3000 mm. Used in OVD, VAD, MCVD and PCVD fiber preform processes and specialty optical fiber manufacturing.

LUMIGLAS® YT-2121 is a fluorine-doped (F-doped) synthetic quartz tube produced from 6N-grade fused silica with customisable relative refractive index Δn from −0.4% to 0. Fluorine doping lowers the refractive index below that of pure silica — enabling depressed-cladding, W-profile and trench-assisted single-mode fiber preform designs including G.657A/B low-bend-loss fiber. OH hydroxyl content is controlled below 1 ppm. All metallic impurities are below 0.005 ppm (wt). Available in three sub-grades covering OD φ10–90 mm with lengths up to 3000 mm. LUMIGLAS® YT-220 is a high-purity large-format synthetic quartz tube produced from 6N-grade fused silica (SiO₂ ≥99.9999%) with all metallic impurities controlled below 0.005 ppm (wt). LUMIGLAS® YT-2430 is a low-OH synthetic quartz tube engineered for UV electric light source envelope and discharge tube applications. Produced from synthetic fused silica with ppb-level metallic impurities, it delivers high UV transmittance across the 160–300 nm UV band with proven resistance to UV-induced solarisation. OH hydroxyl content is available in two grades — ~200 ppm (standard) or 400–1000 ppm (customisable) — allowing the UV cut-off wavelength to be matched to the specific lamp design.
