Mica gaskets are flexible high-temperature sealing and insulating components made from natural mica sheets or mica paper assemblies. They provide excellent thermal stability, electrical insulation and low creep for heater elements, lamp fittings, thermal equipment and electrical enclosures. Description
Mica gaskets are manufactured from natural mica (muscovite/phlogopite) sheets or mica paper bonded with high-temperature inorganic/organic binders and — where required — reinforced or clad with thin stainless steel foil. The result is a thin, dimensionally stable gasket material that combines outstanding thermal resistance, electrical insulating properties and low cold-flow behavior under compression. Mica gaskets are widely used where reliable sealing and electrical insulation are needed at elevated temperatures or in close proximity to heating elements.
They are supplied as flat sheets, adhesive-backed pieces or precision die-cut gaskets to match customer flange shapes, heating plate holes or lamp assemblies. Standard formats are supplied for quick replacement; bespoke gaskets are available for OEM applications.
