GA165 Bulletproof Glass — Ballistic Transparent Material (Chinese Standard)
GA 165 Bulletproof Glass — Chinese standard-certified bullet-resistant laminated glass engineered to provide proven ballistic protection, high optical clarity, and controlled fragment retention for security glazing and armored applications.
Description
Our GA 165-compliant bulletproof glass is a laminated, multi-layer transparent armor system manufactured and tested per Chinese public-safety standard GA 165-2016 (Ballistic transparent material). The standard defines terminology, classification, grading, technical requirements, and ballistic test methods for transparent ballistic materials — enabling consistent grading and certified performance for security-critical installations like bank counters, VIP vehicles, teller windows, and secure enclosures.
Key Benefits
- Standards-backed ballistic performance — produced and tested to GA 165 grading and inspection procedures to deliver repeatable, certified levels of protection.
- Multi-layer laminated construction — engineered glass + polymer interlayers (PVB, SGP, polycarbonate or hybrid PVB/PC stacks) to stop projectiles while minimizing glass fragments and secondary injuries.
- High optical clarity & light transmission — optimized layer selection and quality control to balance security and visibility (typical visible transmittance ≥ 70–75% depending on grade and thickness).
- Environmental & serviceability requirements — GA 165 includes environmental adaptability and dimensional tolerance requirements so products perform reliably across seasons and installation conditions.
- Customizable for application — available in a range of nominal thicknesses, grades (GA165 levels), laminate recipes, and cut-to-size formats for ballistic windows, doors, vehicle glazing, safes, and security booths.
Typical Applications
Bank counters & teller windows, armored vehicles and cash-in-transit modules, security checkpoints, command/control rooms, VIP and executive protection glazing, retail display protection, and police / military viewing ports.
