Description
A sight glass with scraper (scraper mirror) is a fitted viewing lens with an integrated wiping mechanism designed to keep the visible surface clean in continuous-process installations. Our scraper assemblies fit circular mirrors per DIN 28120 (DN50–DN400) and work with a range of lens materials, including sodium-calcium glass and borosilicate. Installation & operation notes
- Match scraper diameter to the visible lens diameter; tolerance is critical for correct wiping pressure.
- Lubrication-free PTFE bearings are recommended for sanitary/food environments.
- When exposed to abrasive media, choose a PTFE scraper or silicone with protective backing to prolong life.
- Inspect O-rings and gasket during maintenance intervals; replace Viton seals if exposed to strong solvents at temperature.
- Designed to combine with Lumistar spotlights and spray equipment for illuminated, clean sight ports.
