The Lumistar sintering observation window glass is a flush-glass, fused-to-metal sighting assembly designed for welded or flanged installations where maximum viewing area and hygienic cleaning are required. The assembly features borosilicate glass sintered to a metal border which produces a secure, flat-faced viewing window with high mechanical strength and easy-to-clean outer surfaces — ideal for process vessels, sight ports and pressure-applications where a clear, hygienic view is essential.

Applications

  • For base flanges to DIN 28117 or similar flat-face flanges.

  • For weldnecks with flat face (no recess).

  • Typical uses: sight ports on vessels, tanks and pipelines in food, beverage, chemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Important: Only for use with parallel flat-face flanges without seal recess. Maximum tightening torque 20 Nm. We recommend the use of Belleville spring washers (2 pcs. per connection hole) to ensure even load distribution.
